Branding is to corporate identity, what a fingerprint is to a person. It separates you from your competitors and gives your company or service an individual identity. It is what you are recognized by, whether it is a name, color, tagline, logo, symbol, design or other feature. Branding your company or product establishes credibility for the service or product you provide. On many occasions branding alone can determine the value of a product. Take for example when you here the names Prada or Gucci, their names alone tell you they are quality products and by definition, expensive. Without considering the product’s value, the brand name alone raises the value of their products because they represent quality and an established reputation for being at the top of the brand industry.
